Halotherapy, HALO-IR & Infrared FAQ's

Is “heated” Halotherapy more effective than non-heated?

Yes, when the air is dry and warm, it will allow for deeper penetration and better absorbency of the salt particles in the bronchi of the lungs. Halotherapy at low levels of heat enhances the experience and efficacy of Halotherapy.

What is Infrared?

Infrared is just outside of 'red' on the visible light spectrum but less than that of microwaves. The idea behind infrared therapy is to heat your body directly with infrared heat. In a traditional sauna you are just sitting in a hot room, 180-220 degrees. In an infrared sauna, the heat is heating your core directly using far infrared waves and only 20% of the heat from the sauna is heating the air. You want to heat your body core, not the air. Your body in an infrared sauna absorbs that infrared heat and reacts to it.

The infrared heat raises your core body temperature and stimulates your lymphatic system, immune system and your cardiovascular system. Your bodies response to that is to sweat profusely. In addition to the infrared heat triggering a profuse sweat, the water in your body also resonates with far infrared heat and this also helps with the detoxification process.

Is Halotherapy safe?

Yes. Halotherapy is a completely drug-free treatment, safe for all ages. Depending on the age and treatment goals, session times and concentration levels may need to be adjusted. Please consult your physician with any concerns.

How hot do the heaters heat the HaloIR?

Our far infrared heaters are powerful 500-watt heaters that produce far infrared rays. The unit can get up a bit past 125, however, far infrared is more effective at lower temperatures. The lower temperatures equate to longer far infrared waves. The long waves penetrate deeper into the body to give you more of a benefit. It's more of the infrared making you sweat and less of the hot air making you sweat. You will sweat at 125 degress.

Why won't the HaloIR heat up past 125 degrees Farenheit?

The HaloIR is not intended to reach super high temps nor is it any more beneficial at those higher levels. For maximum infrared therapy benefit you want continuous infrared heat on your body between 115-125 degrees Farenheit.

For the best halotherapy benefits you want "warming-heat" between 86-88 degrees Farenheit because at very high heat sweat can block your skin's pores, not allowing the salt to penetrate.

Stress Ease

According to the American Psychological Association, 77% of people in the U.S. regularly experience physical symptoms caused by stress. Stress Ease daily supplements paired with Halotherapy can restore vitality, increase feelings of energy, increase mental and physical performance, and improve the body’s response to stress. $40 in-store or save $14.50 when you add it to your subscriptions.
